baby number six

No, this doesn’t mean we’re up to our knees in nappies and sleepless nights. What it does mean is that City Baby, our best-selling autobiography of GBH bass player Ross Lomas, is being re-printed again.

For the sixth time.

It’s pretty amazing, but then City Baby is a pretty amazing book. We took the opportunity to sit down and re-read it last week before we sent it to the printers – tweaked a few details, finally sorted an annoying typo that had made it through the first five editions – and were reminded what a great story it is. Yes, it’s a rollicking read (as you’d probably expect) with plenty of laugh-out-loud moments, but it’s much more than that. Ross talks candidly about the darker, more difficult times in his life as well as the outlandish adventures.

We’re expecting the new edition back from the printers a week or so after Easter. Print and paper costs have increased markedly over the last year or two, so we’ve had to nudge the book cover price up a little to account for that. You can avoid the price rise by diving in for one of the last few copies of the fifth edition, but don’t hang about – they’ll be gone soon!

Oh, one more thing. If you’ve been following us on Twitter, you’ll know there’s a new Ignite book on its way… More about that in the next blog.
