it’s the dogs

It’s always a bit of a risk and an adventure, publishing a new book, especially when we’ve spent the past year living through ‘unprecedented times’. But when we read the manuscript of ‘Dogged’ by Emma Purshouse, we knew it was a story we wanted to publish. So we took the plunge, and hoped that other people would love a book with a great narrative arc, compelling characters, and a twist of Black Country humour just as much as we did.

‘Dogged’ isn’t officially published until April 5th – which means our website is currently the only place to get your mitts on it – but we’re delighted that it’s already followed in the footsteps of every book Ignite have ever published, and covered its costs. It’s even started making money for the author, and putting cash in the pocket of creatives so they can continue what they do is a very important part of what we do.

More pleasing still is the feedback we’ve been getting from folk who’ve read Emma’s novel. And the reviews which have been posted over on Goodreads, all of which give ‘Dogged’ a 5-star rating. You can see them here. If you want to add your own once you’ve read the book, please do. We’ve just one small request: please spell Emma’s name correctly. It’s Purshouse without an ‘e’ in the middle. You’ve no idea how long it took us to find those reviews!

And if you haven’t treated yourself to a copy of ‘Dogged’ yet, we should point out that our Spangly New Website™ celebrations mean that for the remainder of March UK customers get their postage refunded on book orders totalling £20 or more. Which means there’s never been a better time to buy yourself a copy of ‘Dogged’ and get one for a friend.

Trust us, they’ll thank you for it.
