In a few days, the seventh – yes, the seventh! – edition of City Baby will arrive at Ignite Villas, presuming the delivery driver can make his/her/their way here through the labyrinth of roadworks (and their associated diversions) which have sprung up around us over the past few weeks. Getting around our little town right now is quite the challenge. So good luck, delivery driver. And godspeed!
With the books on their way, we’re now taking advance orders. Which is good news if you haven’t yet snaffled a copy of Ross’s incredible life story, or if you want to buy a copy for friends. Or family. Or random strangers who look as if their lives could be made better by reading about the adventures of a Birmingham bass player in the world of punk rock. And whose life couldn’t be made better by that?
Printing costs have increased markedly since the last edition of City Baby, which means we’ve had to increase the book’s cover price slightly. The good news is this does not affect the price when you’re buying via our online shop. An additional reason to shop here instead of Am**on, if you needed one.
Producing and selling books involves a constant assessment of costs and viability, and whether there’ll be an eighth edition of City Baby in its current format, we can’t say for sure. One thing’s for sure: however you get your mitts on a copy, we recommend you don’t hang about. But with a story this good, why would you?
