Happy New Year to you all! (yeah, we know we’re twelve days in already – what can we tell you?) And yes, world news is a horrorshow, but here in this little corner of cyberspace we’re keeping our eyes firmly on the business of publishing books, promoting our authors, and putting copies of their books in the hands of discerning readers. No bombs, no warmongering, no flattened buildings. Simple.
We’ve some exciting plans (are there any other sort?) for 2024. On Jan 30th, you’ll find us in Hednesford, at their beautiful, independent bookshop (Press Books) telling the good folk there what it is we do. Two days later, we’re back down the road in Wolverhampton, taking part in their ‘Meet the Publishers’ event at the annual literature festival. And the next day we’re back there again, chatting with our author Glyn Brown about her astounding memoir ‘Dancing Barefoot: How to be Common‘. You can get tickets for this pay-as-you-feel event here.
We’ve more ventures up our sleeves for later in the year. Oh, and today we sent our first ever book to the Republic of Macedonia. If that isn’t a good omen, we don’t know what is. Ignite Books: we’re small, but we’re global. More power to our non-bombing elbow.
